You’re A Star

You’re a star shining brightly

For all the world to see

I hear some say where is God?

He’s here in you and me!

We often sit and wonder

Where is God if he exists?

Why can’t we see or talk to Him,

Where is He in our midst?

He is the smile on your face

When others need some light

He is the voice that comforts

When you reach out to a friend in the night

He is the hug you offer

And the handshake that you share

He is the voice of love

When your lips share words of care

So when you crave to see God

Look at your fellow man that surrounds

And vow to be His reflection

To be His sight, His touch, His sound

Yes, shine your light my friends!

Shine it near and shine it far

Today, tonight, and always,

Please know you are His Star

I am a wife, mother, RN, make-up artist, and musician, who also happens to have a mood disorder. Fortunately, I will not let the latter define me. I am also a survivor of suicide loss. This website is dedicated to my brother, Jefferson Joseph Blanton-Harris ("Joey"). This site is to share thoughts about beauty, fashion, and most of all, mental health.
