A New Year’s Wish

My wish for you

Throughout this coming year

Is for love to pour down

And conquer you fears

As the fireworks glow

Ringing in a new time

May the bad times be forgotten

May the good ones come to mind

Like these lights that display

Throughout the sky

May your spirit soar

May your spirit fly

May your anger fizzle

And your regrets as well

May your love and care

And pride and heart swell

May you be blessed

With many New Years

And if time should hurt you

May God  wipe your tears

For you to me

Are the reason for giving

The reason for existence

My reason for living

So love, forgive, reconcile and be kind

As on this life’s journey

Your path it winds

Let the fireworks burst

And bring in with a boom

This shining New Year

May our hearts sing a tune

Of love, of faith, of smiles, and cheer

To you, my friend

A blessed New Year

I am a wife, mother, RN, make-up artist, and musician, who also happens to have a mood disorder. Fortunately, I will not let the latter define me. I am also a survivor of suicide loss. This website is dedicated to my brother, Jefferson Joseph Blanton-Harris ("Joey"). This site is to share thoughts about beauty, fashion, and most of all, mental health.
