Good Grief

Shattered pictures

They are all that I have left

I have volumes of them

But they were stolen

By one whom I loved

Held hostage

By one with no heart

Or perhaps it was displaced somewhere

Hidden away with the labeled albums

Year by year

They were all that I had left

My sacred inheritance

Is gone with the wind

That blew away

Your heart

I am a wife, mother, RN, make-up artist, and musician, who also happens to have a mood disorder. Fortunately, I will not let the latter define me. I am also a survivor of suicide loss. This website is dedicated to my brother, Jefferson Joseph Blanton-Harris ("Joey"). This site is to share thoughts about beauty, fashion, and most of all, mental health. 1. Thank you so much Gilda! It felt good to get it off my chest. That being said, people may let us down sometimes, but I’m thankful that God never will! Forgiveness and a heart open to reconciliation is important too. I pray for that reconciliation. Peace and blessings to you!
